We are a group of concerned individuals who originally met before the current crisis had arisen to discuss matters relating to the financial system with a view to understanding it better.

It soon became clear that we ourselves did not have the resources or expertise to tackle such a big subject area. The idea emerged that the whole subject needed proper investigation and examination by an appropriate body. We began researching how such matters were looked into in the past and realised that what was needed was a Royal Commission.

We talked about this on and off for some time. The onset of the present crisis emphasised the need for such an inquiry and so we approached a number of prominent individuals to support this call for a Royal Commission.

This led to the creation of CR£DIT:
